The annual symposium celebrates the World Day of Social Communications each year during the last week in May at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary (Wynnewood, PA).

The symposium begins with a public forum (3:00 p.m.) to discuss the theme and the message written by the Holy Father for this global celebration.

A banquet follows (6:30 p.m.) during which two awards are presented:

  • a Professional award recognizes significant contributions to the world of mass media and social communications ... this year's honoree is MARK ABRAMS (KYW Newsradio 1060).

  • a Young Adult award celebrates the winner of a video competition that communicates the theme of the World Day
