The Apostolic Formation Program offers the seminarian an opportunity to integrate his knowledge with practical experience in an apostolic setting, while at the same time providing him a climate for growth as a person and as a Christian.
The Director of Pastoral and Apostolic Formation assigns each Pre-Theology seminarian to one of a variety of available apostolic placements, including parishes, nursing homes, senior citizen centers, special education schools, social service agencies, and hospices. Each placement combines concrete pastoral activities with experienced supervision and regular evaluation by both the seminarian and his supervisor. The overall goals, philosophy, and program requirements of the Pre-Theology Program are consistent with all that is outlined in the Apostolic Formation Program for the general College Division Program.
