An RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed is a method used on the web to syndicate information from a site into one gathering place known as an aggregator. This place can be a website, your email, or your desktop.
Receiving web feeds in an aggregator eliminates surfing through several websites regularly, eliminates the possibility of receiving "spam" in your email when you sign up for email updates, and has more conveniences.
Aggregators
Bloglines is a highly recommended aggregator for many reasons. It is free, easy to use, and, since it is web-based, can be retrieved from any place you can get online. Bloglines also give you the ability to save an article or entry of interest indefinitely, or email that article directly to a collegue.
