Congratulations to all who participated in the very successful CRS Helping Hands event for Catholic Schools week at St. Charles Seminary! Over 800 children from local Catholic grade and high schools packaged 50,000 meals! Our seminarians assisted in every shift and loaded the trucks carrying the meals.
Congratulations to Fr. Augustus Puleo, St. Charles Seminary adjunct professor, who was recently awarded $500 through a grant from the John Templeton Foundation for his essay submitted for their "International Essay Competition on the Influence of Science on Vocation and Ministry!"
Congratulations and many blessings to Father Philip Johnson, ordained to the Priesthood in Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday January 7th! He was ordained by Bishop Burbidge. Bishop Senior was there together with St. Charles seminarians and faculty.
Father Philip Johnson, ‘16, is both a blessing and a miracle! In 2008, Philip Johnson, Naval Officer, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. He was told that the median survival time for his cancer was less than two years. Despite the many difficulties he was facing, Philip followed his desire to become a priest, and entered St. Charles Borromeo Seminary.
