Fr. Ned was born in Washington, DC on Dec. 17, 1960 and raised in Northern Virginia. He is the youngest of 6 children of Bernard E. Shlesinger, Jr. and Rita Belmont Shlesinger. Fr. Ned was ordained to the Priesthood on June 22, 1996 for the Diocese of Raleigh. Father joined the faculty of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary as the Director of Spiritual Formation for the Theologate in 2013.
